Event Design: 2024 Fundraising Gala
In May 2024, Medical Ministry International held their Annual Fundraising Gala. I came up with the theme of "Stories of Hope", an evening of three key MMI individuals sharing their personal experiences of serving with MMI, seeing transformation before their eyes of patients receiving life-changing medical care, and how others can get involved.
The cover slide for the evening, shown below, includes a few key images that reflect important elements of MMI's work and culture of compassion, care, and faith-forward mission to provide health care for lasting change.
MMI's largest stream of medical care is their Vision Care Program. Collecting, sorting, cleaning, and shipping hockey bags filled with donated eyeglasses is a large area of their mission. Patients can receive a prescription and a pair of glasses so they can see clearer and interact with their communities well, and find work to provide for their families.
Medical Ministry International is also excited to have launched Maü Pata, meaning "House of Life" in the native language Ticuna, a hospital boat that travels along the Amazon River to provide accessible health care to 180 unreached people groups. (Also, did you know there were pink dolphins in the Amazon River?)
This event was especially encouraging for the ministry as it was a record-breaking Gala - raising an amazing $112,620! These donations go toward continuing its amazing mission to provide health care for lasting change around the world to those in great need.
